Beginning to rust
The church roof started to rust after the sun and rain wore away the protective coating on the tin.
Pastor Carlos and Cesar
Cesar is one of the brothers in the church. He wanted to help us paint the roof.
Prepping the roof
Pastor Carlos and Cesar cleaned the rust with wire brushes and sand paper before we started painting.
Our supplies
We painted the roof with anticorrosivo (anti-corrosive) paint. Robert brought most of the supplies from Managua since paint and other materials are cheaper there.
Beginning to paint
Pastor Carlos and Robert started painting the roof with special rollers that fit into the grooves of the tin roofing material.
Painting
Praise God that He provided a couple of days of sun during the rainy season!

Cesar painting
Cesar painted with the brush in all the spots where the tin sheets met.
Working together
We had a blessed time up on the roof painting the church together and fellowshipping with one another.
Painting with the roller
Pastor Carlos help paint the roof with one of the rollers.
First coat
We got the whole roof covered with the materials that Robert brought. We went out the next day to buy more paint and rollers.

Second coat
We still have some paint left over to touch up the roof! Praise God. The radio tower can be seen on the right.
